Jupiter’s Legacy
This coming Wednesday brings a new project by Mark Millar and Frank Quitely called Jupiter’s Legacy. Millar doesn’t always hit the spot for me personally (bit too nihilistic), but Frank Quitely is one of the true gems of the comic illustration world. At any rate, I look forward to checking this new series out.

Revival
Looking for something to fill the Walking Dead gap? Revival isn’t exactly a carbon copy of The Walking Dead, but it does deal with dead people coming back from the dead. Get in on the ground floor of this book before it becomes a hit tv show. not sure if it has been optioned, but it has the feel of quality tv. Plus, you can support former Memphian and all around good guy Mike Norton as he tries to line his pockets like Scrooge McDuck!
Hawkeye!
Manhattan Projects!
One of the few comics the entire staff agrees on is Manhattan Projects by Jonathan Hickman & Nick Pitarra and published by Image Comics. The basic premise is what if there was something going on behind the scenes of the Manhattan Project. It’s a light hearted yet dark romp where all the main characters are real world geniuses like Albert Einstein, Richard Feynman, Joseph Openheimer as well as some old political figures. Incredibly good fun that comes with the highest recommendation!
Looking For Something Different?
One of the best surprises of the past year has undoubtedly been the runaway success of Brian K. Vaughan & Fiona Staples’ comic titled simply Saga. It’s a straightforward sci-fi/fantasy mash up that reads like Star Wars meets Game of Thrones. The characterization is really good and BKV leaves you wanting more with every issue. Fiona Staples wasn’t a huge name before this book, but she has turned some heads with her fully digital art. Break the super hero rut with something from a smaller publisher because this book is a gem!
